1. Scope

This statement applies to the website spohad.app, operated by Maksim Pashkovskij. Information about accessibility features in the Spohad app itself appears separately in section 4.

Accessibility is a design goal of this website. BITV 2.0 applies to public bodies, and as a micro-enterprise providing services I am exempt from the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) under § 3(3) BFSG. This voluntary statement uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as its reference.

2. Current state

Based on a self-assessment carried out on 13 October 2026, this website partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In place:

  • Keyboard use: the main navigation, language selector, ordinary links and ordinary buttons can be reached with the keyboard and show a visible focus indicator.
  • A “Skip to content” link at the start of every page.
  • Semantic HTML with headings, landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and lists.
  • Language markup: each language version (German, English, Ukrainian) sets the page’s lang attribute.
  • Reduced motion: if “Reduce motion” is on in your operating system, no animations or videos play by themselves.
  • Images and videos have text alternatives; purely decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
  • Contrast: light text on a dark background with sufficient contrast.
  • The page can be zoomed to 200 % without losing content.

3. Known limitations

  • The interactive preview of the app (“sandbox”) is built around swipe gestures. Tab moves focus to the phone screen of the preview and switches it on; its buttons can then be reached with Tab, and the feed responds to the arrow keys. Not every gesture of the app has a keyboard equivalent in the preview. The essential information shown in the preview is also available as text on the home page.
  • Demo sound is off until you switch it on. The short videos contain no speech; their meaning is described by the surrounding text.

4. Accessibility in the Spohad app

In the app’s feed, VoiceOver actions are available for all swipe directions and decisions, so those actions do not require a touch gesture alone. This information describes the app and is not part of the website’s WCAG conformance assessment.
